Our Tasting Room Sales Associates form the backbone of the customer experience at Island Grove Wine Company and become part of the IGWCo family. They work as a team to provide incredible service to customers visiting our facilities in Island Grove, Florida. A team player with a positive attitude is essential. This is a part-time weekend opportunity, with more hours available during the busy season (Nov-May).

Responsibilities

• Work tasting room counter which includes greeting customers, serving wine samples, answering questions, offering suggestions, etc

• Effectively upsell and cross-sell wine and associated merchandise

• Communicate Island Grove story with customers

• Intelligently converse with customers on the topic of wine 

• General store maintenance including stocking shelves and taking inventory

• Dusting and light cleaning of retail store displays and all public areas within the facility

• Effectively answer general phone line which may involve taking phone orders, providing

  directions, etc.

• Quickly and accurately work cash register

• Packing orders for shipment

• Aid in creation of displays and other point of sale materials

  Requirements

  • Available to work at least one weekend day per week and be available for special winery events

  • Must have a friendly personality and converse with a wide array of customers from all over the

    world

  • Pre-existing knowledge of wine is preferred but certainly not necessary

  • Must be able to make change accurately

  • No history of alcohol abuse

  • 21+ years of age at time of employment a plus

    Hours and Pay

    • Hours: 8-16 hours/week. Many looking for weekend coverage and events.

    • Compensation: competitive based on skills and experience. This is a part time position with no benefits offered.

      References will be requested prior to any final hiring decision.

Job Brief

We are looking for enthusiastic Island Grove Wine Company Brand Ambassadors to be the face of our company and promote our products and services all around Florida. Please not that this is a contract labor position per tasting/event oppourtunity, not a full-time position.

If you enjoy our wine and communicating with customers in person, we would like to meet you. To be a IGWC Brand Ambassador, you will need to attend tastings and events that showcase our company.

Ultimately, you become part of our winery family, and work along side the team all over the state at different events and occasions that increase our company’s brand awareness and generate new sales opportunities.

We are looking to add Brand Ambassador to many different regions of Florida. Here are some of the locations that we are looking to fulfill first:

- Pensacola
- Panama City
- Tallahassee
- Daytona Beach
- Orlando (and its surrounding areas)
- Sarasota
- Fort Myers
- Naples
- West Palm Beach
- Boca Raton
- Fort Lauderdale
- Miami
 

Responsibilities

Participate in events and tastings as a spokesperson for our company
Thoroughly understand our products and services to inform potential customers
Use word-of-mouth marketing techniques, like referring our company to friends and directing your audience on how to purchase and enjoy IGWC products
Provide feedback to the Marketing and Product departments regarding customers’ requests
Be self-reliant and responsible in attending and setting up off-site tastings
